NiMH batteries are classified as nickel metal batteries because they are environmentally friendly hydroxide and hydrogen storage alloy materials. NiMH batteries are generally safe, always refer to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
How to store NiMH batteries?
Avoid storing batteries in drawers along with paper clips, coins, other batteries, or metal items such as steel, wool, aluminum foil, and household items such as keys. If these come into contact, this could be a potential fire hazard. Store the battery in its original packaging until ready to use.
